xAI published an official product note introducing The X Subscription, a single plan that bundles Grok, Grok Bot, Cursor, and X Premium. The company says the offer will roll out globally over the next few days and is the path for new customers, while existing SuperGrok, Cursor, and X Premium subscribers can keep current plans or switch later.
The pitch is one AI subscription covering chat and media generation, agent teammates, local and cloud coding agents, and social Premium features on X. Paid tiers share a pool of Grok model usage across the Grok apps, the Grok tab on X, and Cursor. xAI states that each comparable new tier includes at least twice as much coding usage with its models as the matching prior Cursor plan. Third-party models remain available in Cursor on Premium and higher, billed separately at API list prices through top-ups.
List prices in the announcement are Free at zero dollars, Plus at eight dollars per month, Premium at thirty, Super at one hundred, and Ultra at two hundred. Premium is described as combining benefits previously associated with SuperGrok, Cursor Pro, and X Premium+, which xAI says totaled about ninety dollars per month when bought separately. Higher tiers multiply included usage relative to Plus. Free still provides daily Grok access, a starter Cursor coding allowance, and standard X.
Team seats use the same Premium, Super, and Ultra per-seat prices as individuals, with SSO, admin controls, consolidated billing, usage analytics, and SOC 2 called out as organization features. Enterprise buyers can manage Grok and Cursor from one dashboard with a single usage pool. Existing annual subscribers keep remaining term days unless they choose to upgrade; switching is prorated with refunds for unused time on old plans.
Nothing changes automatically for current SuperGrok, Cursor, or X Premium customers. Prior standalone plans are closed to new sign-ups. xAI says most people are expected to move for value, and that any forced migration would come later with notice. The company points buyers to x.ai/pricing for comparisons and to account billing settings for switch offers.
Usage allowances refresh weekly rather than as a single monthly cliff, according to the FAQ on the same page, so one heavy day does not wipe the whole month. Top-ups remain available after included usage is exhausted. Individual subscribers can later move into team plans with the same per-seat rates as individuals.
Buyers comparing the bundle against buying SuperGrok, Cursor, and X Premium separately should still verify their actual weekly usage pattern, because the shared pool covers SpaceXAI models while third-party coding models remain metered apart on Premium and above.
The announcement is first-party commercial packaging rather than a new model release. Its significance for the AI ecosystem is the explicit merger of consumer chat, agent products, a major coding IDE agent stack, and the X social Premium bundle under one usage meter controlled by SpaceXAI models.
