EU begins enforcing key AI Act rules and transparency requirements
The European Commission's AI Office and national authorities have begun enforcing key provisions of the EU AI Act.
The rules now include transparency requirements for certain AI systems, including disclosure when people interact with AI and labelling or machine-readable marking for specified AI-generated or manipulated content.
The enforcement framework also gives authorities powers over general-purpose AI obligations and establishes significant financial penalties for non-compliance.
